Ugh…we’ve been working on rebuilding our d*** fence for the past two and a half months.
We’ve only got about a day and a half to work on it each week, so it’s taking forever. I’m killing myself in the gym & you’d think that the weekend would be left for resting…but NO! We’ve got about 1/2 of it done & it honestly looks wonderful. We took off for a few weeks while we fixed my mother-in-laws sinks one weekend, relaxed for a weekend, & helped our workout partner at his first show (he won his class) the next weekend. Sometimes it seems like there’s not enough time to just enjoy life, but at least we’re getting some much needed work done. Now…it’s fence building again! Hopefully…this last half won’t take as long as the first.
Oddly enough, I love to dabble with a little gardening. Last year I grew tomatoes, cucumbers, yellow squash, zucchini, & some herbs. I had no idea what I was doing, so unfortunately I didn’t get as much out of it as I should have. I know what to do now, so as soon as we get the fence built & the sprinkler system repaired, I’d like to build some raised planting beds so I can try growing more veggies this year. We’ll see how that all turns out.
Life has been good to me! I feel like it’s going to just get better & better over time. So…that’s kinda the normal part of my life that’s not really part of my bodybuilding life.
Ah the ‘normal’ part of your life. It makes the magic that I see in your posing so much more real to know that you have other experiences and passions. A full rounded life – that only a strong woman can have. I wub it.
Thank you for your inspiration and for being the role model that you are to me. I’ve decided that I need to get on stage again, to push myself to my best, and just like the last time five years ago, you inspire me to no end.
Anyhoo, yeah on the blog! oh and the whole busy all the time – my husband I were talking about that just yesterday. It seems though, that in order to build a life, well, sleeves rolled up most of the time is what she takes. Booyah!
Hey Kimberli! Yeah, you know, I think that most people look at bodybuilding as a full time job where no single other thing can be a part of life. For me…bodybuilding is kinda like a serious hobby that I happen to do … a lot of.
Ok, so when is your show? I get excited for everyone to compete. Especially the ones that bust bootie in the gym. If you need anything…let me know! I’d be more than glad to answer any questions you might have!
Nice post Bonny! Great to hear about the “other” aspects of your life.
Thanks Hans! I’m going to try and put a little more of that sort of stuff on here. I think that most people don’t realize that most of us are normal people with normal lives. We’ve just got bigger bodies.
Show’s about 2 years. I’m not going into this one prematurely like I did the last. I want to pull a “susan boyle” and just OWN IT. BAM!!! I know what you mean about excited for others’ competitions. It quite honestly jacks me up too! Can I be honest here? Hrm…. ? I might, MIGHT, have squirted a wee bit of protan onto a cardio shirt or two… I do it in the AM at home and so appearance, uh protan stains, don’t offend. lol
Sounds like you’re a wee bit obsessed with the whole competition thing…protan…girl. It’s funny though…I usually use Protan & Jantana. The Jantana smells kinda like apricots. When I smell anything like that, it brings me right back to the stage. Ok, so I guess, by the time you decide to do a show, you’ll be way more than ready. Good luck with your training girl! Keep workin’ hard!
